Project: Lakeview Relief Middle School- Winter Garden, Florida
On this project, the contractor had us scan for an existing conditions investigation to determine how much earthwork was necessary to be in "tolerance". We scanned the site roughly 60 acres of rough grading and after preparing the topographic survey with contours the client needed more information. With the single registered scan, we answered most all of the questions on site and put an end to any debate as to the true conditions when the client introduced the point cloud viewer to the other consultants on the project. This technology saved weeks of discussion and most definitely the need to bring in 3rd party survey verification or even rescanning the site.
